UberEATS has introduced an additional payment option – “Cash On Delivery” in Mumbai. For your information, UberEATS has launched four months ago in Mumbai, India and later on it will be expanded to other cities. The “Cash On Delivery” launched after a month when Uber introduced support for Unified Payment Interface. According to the company, India will be the first country in the world to launch this new global feature and later on it will be extended to other cities in India and 29 countries.
According to Uber, cash remains popular in India and the company is committed to supporting India’s vision for a digital economy. Apart from this, with “Cash On Delivery” customers can now pay easily and this move helps local businesses to extend their reach to more customers. For your information, at the time of launch 200 restaurants partnered with UberEATS and now today there are over 950 restaurants in Mumbai have opened their doors for UberEATS.
More and more Indians are incorporating Uber in their daily lives, whether it’s to get a ride across town, expand the reach of their restaurants or earn extra money by driving their cars or making deliveries on scooters. We are thrilled to bridge the use of cash with the ease of the UberEATS app and look forward to rolling out cash payments starting over the next few weeks in Mumbai.
