The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Delhi is celebrating International Barbeque Festival and luckily I got the chance to attend it. The International Barbeque Festival at Cafe Knosh runs for a limited time period, starting from 27th January 2017 to 12th February 2017. The executive Chef Rohit Tokhi and his love for European cuisine make me excited to attend it. As the name suggest, the festival is for meat lovers.
On Friday Afternoon, visited the hotel to taste out the specially curated menu by Chef Rohit Tokhi and for me, it’s time to relish delicacies such as Indian, Oriental, American, and European. Once you step in, you are amazed by the interesting setup and the setup includes hot dog truck, three different sections of BBQ that range from Indian, Pan Asian to Western. The setup is an open area with red umbrellas & wooden tables, It’s time to sit under the umbrellas, enjoy a beer and get ready for the awesome barbeque journey. In addition to this, the English retro music and occasional water droplets from the tower add the charm to the festival.
Talking about the menu, in the Indian barbeque, there are Jhinga Nisha, Asafiya Murgh, Bhatti Ki Bateer, Maas ka Sula, Multani Paneer, Malai Broccoli, Dal Makhani, Dal Tadka, and Veg Pulao. The European barbecue section has Bangers, Bratwurst, Hamsteak, Frankfurther, Kaise Kreiners, Bockwurst, Chicken Schnitzel, Grilled Lamb Chops, Barbecue Chicken, Halloumi Steak, Eggplant Schnitzel, Grilled Cottage Cheese Steaks Al these seres with German Potato salad, Roesti, Baked potato, Mashed potato, Home Style potato chips and sauces, condiments. The Chef Rohit Tohki made it sure that the pork items shouldn’t serve to non-pork eaters. I’m sure you will get the real authentic taste of original recipes and the salad, cheese buffet & dessert counter add the charm. Since it’s a buffet which means there is no limit for repeat serving so, go ahead and get the best food as many times you would wish. At a price tag of Rs. 1000 for buffet lunch like this and the dinner cost Rs. 1200 for buffet dinner. At this price tag, it’s a stealer deal and not to be missed out at any cost. Enjoy your food and Bon Appetite.
The International barbeque festival will teleport you into the world of global barbeque roasts and the exciting menu, couple with lip-smacking servings, sauces & condiments make it more delicious. Apart from this, the colourful landscape displays the various dessert, bread n buns, salads and live counters are awesome.
At the international Barbeque Festival, I tried a number of things that ranges from non-veg to veg. From the Oriental section, I tasted Okra skewers, Tofu, Leek skewers and all these skewers served with a variety of sauces – Chilic garlic, child bean, soya garlic, peanut, and Teriyaki. From the European section I tried Grilled Cottage cheese steaks, German Potato Salad, and Homestyle Potato chips and from the American section, I tried the Corn and jalapeño Burger and Mashed potato.
After having such amazing barbeque food, it’s time to dessert and I tried the Black Forest, fresh Strawberry cake, and few other tasty desserts. Later on, Chef Rohit Took told that dessert of the day – Barbeque fresh fruits with ice cream will be served soon. The Barbeque fresh fruits with ice cream taste amazingly well.
In the end, all I can say that, I have a great time and recommend everyone to visit there.
