What A Comic Show Interior

[Restaurant Review] What A Comic Show: Bring Back Childhood Memories

What A Comic Show is all about reliving your childhood memories. Once you step in, you can easily recall your childhood days and shows your love towards comics & cartoons. Because of busy schedule I didn’t get chance to read comic books or watch cartoon serial on TV. This is where What A Comic Show has to offer. The cartoon theme restaurant located at SDA Market, Delhi and you can easily reach here as number of connectivity options available like Delhi Metro, Cabs (Ola & Uber), public transport & autos. What A Comic Show is owned by well-travelled couple Pooja Moirangthem and Mr. Bhopen. This is a great place which serves some exotic India-genised multi-cuisine delicacies at down to earth prices.

Location:

What A Comic Show is located in SDA. It is right in front of main road on Second Floor.

Address: C – 21, Hauz Khas Enclave, S.D.A Community Centre, Opp. IIT Main Gate, New Delhi, Delhi 110016

Nearby Metro Stations

Hauz Khass – 1.41 Km

Green Park – 2.5Km

If you enter from the front of the market, you will notice the prominent signboards. The entrance ground is narrow staircase and you have cross a couple of other restaurants.

Once you enter in What A Comic Show, you are amazed to see the ambience & decor. Although the place is medium space and most of the time it is full. The restaurant follows the theme and the interior says everything about it. The walls, table lamps, cartoon poster all over create an interesting, cheerful and bright ambiance. This place also has a live music band to cater the youth. There is book shelves full of cartoon books too, isn’t it amazing?

I was welcomed with a smile by the owner and she passionately explained me the concept and theme of this cute place. She also mentioned that they organise theme party based on different festivals and Halloween party is one of the best in town and not to be missed.

Let’s talk about food and drinks

Talking about food, they offer Chinese as well as Continental dishes along with a couple of Tibetan entries like Shabalay. The menu is actually quite vast with sizzlers, sandwiches, showmen, soups, lasagnas and risottos. You can gulp them with beer, although the choice of brand is limited. The prices are pocket-friendly.

Cocktails in the menu had interesting names like Sandman, Superman – true to the theme of space.

To get started, on the recommendation of owner Mr. Bhopen, first we ordered Sandman. What an amazing drink it was, refreshing and we enjoyed it. Later on we order Poison Ivy, the drink is decent and we tried number of beers like Stella Artois, Martens Lager beer.

Talking about food, firstly we ordered non-veg fried momos and what a turn down, it was actually quite good. All I can say, one of the best momos I have till date. Later on we ordered Garlic bread with cheese, it was average. The king of the meal is non-veg platter with assorted bites – French fries, potato wedge. I was amazed by the portion size which was huge-enough. It was served with mayo. French fries and potato were fresh n crisp.

The service is warm & friendly. Above all the owners amuse you with an interesting conversation.

All I can say, the drinks and food are very impressive in both quality & quantity. It’s a great experience with great live music. A lot of effort has gone into the decor and surely a cute place to chill out with friends, family or even to date.
